Good point, Skye. Up to now that was on purpose: only another player, their pet or their Golem stopped a build. I've changed it so any hit that lands stops a flag or building in progress, creatures included. If something is biting you, you'll need to deal with it before you build. It'll be in the next update.

Players building flags in PvP -
Returned resourcesHi Skye, thanks for asking. That one is intended. Destroying your own flag gives back a flat 3 Wood and no Leather. A new flag costs 5 Wood and 2 Leather, so tearing one down to plant it somewhere else costs you 2 Wood and 2 Leather. I set it that way so shifting your claim around is worth a little thought.
The "half back" wording you saw is on Demolish, which is a different rule for buildings. The flag's Destroy button never said what you get back, which is why this was confusing. It now reads "Destroy (3 Wood back)".

AttackingThanks Skye, confirmed and fixed. Pressing Attack again on the target you're already fighting restarted your swing, so a second tap could cost you most of a hit. Now that press does nothing and your swing carries on. Switching to a different target still starts a new swing. The fix is live now.

Players building flags in PvPThanks for the report. I've fixed it: you can no longer plant a flag or build anything for 5 seconds after another player, their pet or their Golem hits you, and a hit from one of them now stops a flag or building in progress. It goes live with the next update.

Movement speedGood catch, confirmed and fixed. Your walk speed was only worked out when you started walking, so taking armor off before a long walk and putting it back on partway kept you at full speed the whole way. Now equipping or unequipping anything mid-walk changes your speed for the rest of that walk. The fix is live now.

Can't continue in sewer. Thanks ZLLA. Confirmed and fixed for the next update. When you died, the Spider that killed you ran into the room's wall, where you couldn't see it, and stayed there doing nothing. It was still alive, so the way on stayed shut. Creatures in the Sewer no longer run off when you die, so the one that killed you will be waiting where the fight was when you come back.

Towers are buggedThanks for the report, and for spelling out how it was being used.
I found the cause. A tower reached 600 m, but a flag can only be planted 500 m or more from another player's claim. So a tower raised just outside your border could still reach your flag. While it was shooting at you, every hit stopped you hardening or repairing. That is what you were seeing, and it is what made "tower, burn the flag, plant in the hole, tower that" so easy.
I have cut tower range to 500 m, the same as a flag's claim. A tower can no longer be built close enough to shoot at someone else's flag. This is live now.
One case is still open. You can stand about 55 m from your flag to harden or repair it, so if you stand on the tower's side of the flag and the tower sits right at the edge of your claim, it can still reach you. Standing on the far side of the flag keeps you out of range.
If a tower hits you from further than 500 m now, tell me roughly where it is and I will look.

WaypointThanks for the report, this was a real bug. The arrow was drawn whenever a waypoint was saved, but the only way to clear it is on the far map, and that map needs a Compass to open. So once you gave the Compass back, the arrow had nothing left to turn it off. The same thing would have happened if a Compass wore out.
I've fixed it. The arrow now only shows while you have a Compass in your pack. Your waypoint is kept, so if you borrow one again it will point at the same place, and Let go on the far map clears it for good.
It will be in the next update. The phone app needs a new version for it as well, so until you update the app you may still see the arrow there.
