Hi Skye, thanks for asking. That one is intended. Destroying your own flag gives back a flat 3 Wood and no Leather. A new flag costs 5 Wood and 2 Leather, so tearing one down to plant it somewhere else costs you 2 Wood and 2 Leather. I set it that way so shifting your claim around is worth a little thought.
The "half back" wording you saw is on Demolish, which is a different rule for buildings. The flag's Destroy button never said what you get back, which is why this was confusing. It now reads "Destroy (3 Wood back)".
